HUMAN RIGHTS IN AUSTRALIA (Lack thereof).

Believe it or not. Australia is the only county wiht Common law that does not have any legal codex of human rights. One can only speculate that this is because of its origins as a penal colony. Hard to expect one big prison be steeped in the tradition of human rights.

I attended a meeting tonight, intending to change it. An alliance is forming with the intention of building enough movement to push a bill of rights throught the South Australian legislature. It was good to see a 'large' turnout. In today's world of apathy 200 people is a 'large' turnout. I do hope that this comes through THIS time. It is downright embarrasing the way we treat native population and refugees. Then our so called 'leaders' have the temerity to preach to other nations about human rights.

I took a couple of shots with my phonecam. This one is the most important. Courageous citizenry improving the future of their nation. RESPECT!

RUMINATIONS ON LOVE
Original thought{tm} for today. Love blah blah blah. Like anything else, it has intensity. Affection, like a little, trully madly deeply. Imagine a slider control, like a volume on a CD player. What happens when you hit 10. Max. The 11 on the scale of 10.

I can not speak from experience though I have loved and loved deeply, I have never reached this limit. Does one break through and hit Hyperlove? Alternatively, simply bounce off like from a flexible barrier and slide back into affection, then apathy, then contempt? I would like to find out one day. Experience what happens when you love someone so much that you can not love them any more than you do.
Hmmm... there are somethings worth looking forward to. No?

Wendy,

Implicit in my statement is the reciprocity of love.
Otherwise you might as well wank :)
To hit 11 there has to be full cooperation from both parties.

So we are both right! Wooohoooo!
